Kinetics of oxidation of 2- Hydroxy- 2- methyl butyric acid (HMBA) by Mn(VII) in aqueous H2SO4 medium in absence and presence of sodium lauryl suphate (NaLS) follows a route conforming to Michaelis-Menten Kinetics.
